About these terms

Fakties is operated by GRAPPES LLC. These terms govern the Fakties website, app and related checking services. Read them before creating an account or purchasing a plan. Contact support@fakties.com with service or billing questions.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or have the permission of a parent or guardian where applicable. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in codes private and for activity you authorize on your account.

What the service does

Fakties helps examine submitted claims and media and presents evidence, explanations and limitations. Results may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. A missing source is not proof that a claim is false; a media detection score is not proof that an image is authentic or generated.

Review the underlying sources and relevant context. The service does not replace professional medical, legal or financial advice and must not be used as the sole basis for decisions about a person's rights or safety. Content that is private, restricted or unavailable may require you to supply a file or text. File-size, duration, sampling and processing limits are shown in the app where relevant.

Your content and privacy

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give GRAPPES LLC permission to store and process it only as needed to provide, secure and support the features you request, subject to the Privacy Policy and your processing choices. Submit only material you have the right to use and share. Do not upload passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary confidential information.

Before external AI processing, Fakties asks for permission and identifies the relevant services. You can withdraw permission in Settings → Privacy & data. This stops future processing and rechecks while leaving saved history available; it cannot recall data already sent. Account and data deletion are available in the app as described in the Privacy Policy.

Creating a share link makes the selected finding available to anyone with the link. You can revoke the link; copies already retained by recipients are outside our control. Private checks are not published automatically.

Accounts and credits

Guests can browse and read shared findings. New verified accounts receive five welcome credits once. Signing out, switching devices or deleting and recreating an account does not renew this gift.

A credit is a service allowance, not money. Check the displayed credit quote before starting. The number of credits needed can vary with the requested check. Your account balance is shared across supported devices. Failed checks and interrupted work are reconciled by the service; contact support if you believe a charge is incorrect.

Unused purchased credits remain on your account under the current rollover policy; cancelling renewal does not remove them. Credits cannot be transferred to another account or redeemed for cash, except where applicable law requires a remedy. Deleting your account removes access to it and its remaining credits; it does not itself cancel a store subscription.

Subscriptions and extra credits

Purchases are offered only when checkout is available. The checkout screen shows the applicable price, currency, billing period and taxes before you confirm. The current USD catalog is Plus: $9.99 per month for 30 credits; Pro: $24.99 per month for 100 credits; Premium: $99.99 per year for 360 credits granted upfront after each verified annual payment. Local store prices may differ.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the provider used to purchase them. Cancel before the provider's renewal deadline to avoid the next charge. Access to the paid subscription remains through its paid period after cancellation. Restore or signing in on another device does not issue a second allowance for an already credited purchase.

Active subscribers may deliberately purchase 50 extra credits for $9.99 USD or the displayed local price. This is a one-time purchase, does not renew the subscription, and is never charged automatically when the balance runs out.

Manage App Store purchases and refund requests through Apple; manage website purchases through the billing portal or contact support@fakties.com. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase provider and applicable consumer law. A refund or disputed payment can reverse the associated credit grant. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Responsible use

Do not use Fakties for unlawful activity, harassment, deceptive impersonation, publishing private information without permission, infringement, or attempts to bypass access controls and usage limits. Do not present a modified finding as an unchanged Fakties result.

Report an incorrect result using the finding's report action. Report abusive shared content to support@fakties.com with the relevant link. We may restrict abusive use or remove shared content that violates these terms, while preserving rights required by law.

Availability and changes

The service depends on networks and external providers and may occasionally be unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or universal factual accuracy. If an outage prevents you from using purchased service, contact support so we can investigate and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The updated date appears here, and material changes affecting your rights or subscription will be communicated as required. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed purchase's credited allowance. For apps acquired through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard EULA also governs the app license unless a separate applicable license is provided.
